School Council

In accordance with the Welsh Government’s guidelines, the school has a School Council. Council meetings are held approximately once a month during the academic year. We welcome this as a valuable way of giving pupils a voice in the life of the school. "We are a group of hardworking and enthusiastic pupils who want to make a difference at Ysgol Bryn Tabor. We have been elected by our fellow pupils to represent their views and raise issues that matter to them with Mrs Fell, the Headteacher, and the school governors. We may also lead projects on behalf of the pupils of the school. We strongly believe in fundraising for charities that support children and people who are less fortunate than ourselves. Over the years, the School Council has supported a number of local and national charities." To be effective, we as councillors must: 1. Represent all pupils to the best of our ability. 2. Take time to listen to all pupils and ensure their voices are heard. 3. Provide feedback to pupils about what happened to their views and ideas, helping to make things happen or explaining why this is not always possible
